Our Happily Ever After
Scott and I met through some mutual friends in high school. He also (oddly enough) dated some of my friends. The summer leading into my senior year a combination of bad break ups for both us drew up together. I helped him through his and he through mine. Scott said he owed me lunch, and lunch turned into an all day event. Including our first kiss as the credits to "Lady in the Water" rolled.
My entire senior year, we were off and on. Sometimes he'd say it was because I was still in high school (he was class of '05 and I '07) and other times I'd say it was because he wasn't ready for a relationship. The madness stopped the night I graduated, we made a promise to never break each others' hearts again. And here we are, at the end of 2011, 5 years after the promise, married and starting a new chapter in our life.
