Our Journey!
Me and my husband met about 4 years ago. He was a friend of my best friend's (Megan) sister, Sara. Sara invited us over for a BBQ, and Cody was there. I was introduced to him at this BBQ, we talked for a little while but not very long, as I didn't think he would have much intrest in me as he is 4 years older then me. After everyone ate most people left to go to a local club for the evening. It was not a favorite hang out space of either Megans or mine so we decided to stay at the house. At this point I was going through a rough time with my boyfriend. (My friends didn't really like the way he treated me, so they were constently trying to prove that there are other guys out there that would treat me better.) About a month later I finally ended it with my ex. That night me and Megan went out to the clubs to go dancing. After a few drinks we were out on the dance floor having a great time, when someone came up behind me and started dancing with our group. As it was dark in the club I didn't really see who it was, but megan invited him into our circle as she knew him through her sister. After a few dances Cody said that they were moving on to a different club and asked if I wanted to come with them. My friends didn't want to go but megan said that she didn't mind if I went with him as long as I met up with her at closing. (as we were walking back to her BF's house for the night) I went to the other club with him, we decide to get a booth and talk. After a while we realised that all his friends had left us and the clubs were starting to close. So I went back and met up with Megan and her BF. I then went with them to crash at her BF's place. The next morning we were woken up by Megan's phone. Cody text her that he forgot to get my number and he was wondering if she could give it to him. She told him he would have to find another way to get it. The next weekend I had plans to go out with some other friends that I wasn't really interested in going clubbing with as none of them are into dancing very much. So I called Megan and asked for Cody's number as I know he likes to go out dancing, and I wanted to see him again. She gave me the number and made me promise her that I wouldn't fall in love with him. As at this point I thought this was an odd request, and I didn't think he felt the same way about me as I did him I said ok. That afternoon I text Cody and asked him if he wanted to come to the clubs with me and some friends, he said he was hanging out with some friends and they would be coming to. I said sure. We met up that night and had a great time. We were unseperatable since that night. At the year and a half mark in our relationship we moved in together. He proposed to me on Thanksgiving in our second year together. (2 years 1 month) We then got married May 14th, 2011. (after 3 1/2 years together) We are now thinking about children. But at this time with the way work and our financial situation is, we are thinking it would be best to wait. As much as I don't want to wait I know it is best for the future of our child(ren).
