Amal Alamuddin's $3,700 Newlywed Gift to George Clooney Comes in More Affordable Prices Too
You might not be able to have a wedding or a honeymoon quite like George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin, but you can drink like them, darn it! Well, kind of. According to E!, Amal purchased 12 handmade Murano cocktail glasses made in Venice (at $100 a pop) as a newlywed gift to George.
"Amal loves the idea of them having the same cocktail glasses that they use at the Cipriani Hotel in Venice," their source says. "George admired them every time he looked at them during the wedding celebrations and they didn't have time to go shopping in Venice, so she's ordered them in as a post-wedding gift for him. It means that every time they curl up with a cocktail at home they'll think of their wedding and be reminded of all the happy memories."
She also added 12 matching silk napkins and 12 handmade napkin holders (totaling $2,500) to match the colorful glasses.
While we know that the top human rights lawyer has excellent taste, we also know that beautiful Murano glasses come cheaper (but sadly don't come with George).
