Seasonal Sipper: Apple Cider Hot Toddy
Lately, we can't get enough of cold-weather cocktails -- including creative whiskey drinks and our take on an indulgent Irish coffee. But recently, our new favorite fall sipper is this apple cider hot toddy -- a classic brandy cocktail that's slightly-sweet but not too strong. Made with honey, lemon, cinnamon and star anise, this aromatic drink will almost have you wishing it was November year-round:
What You'll Need:
- Apple cider
- Hot water
- Lemon wedge
- Star anise
- Cinnamon stacks
Step 1: Measure out a shot of brandy and add a teaspoon of honey to a small mug.
Step 2: Add 1/4 of a cup of apple cider and top with boiling water.
Step 3: Stick 3-4 cloves into a lemon wedge and add to the toddy along with a cinnamon stick and star anise. Now start sipping!
