  2. 1. Add Personality

There is a fine art to entertaining and each host should put their own spin on the soirée they are throwing. The most memorable ones are enhanced by a personal and artful twist on the cuisine, environment, conversation and cocktails.

  3. 2. Stay Stocked

Always have enough cocktails on hand so the party doesn't end earlier than expected! Sometimes we set up make-your own cocktails stations. A fun and easy way to execute this is to start with a drink like a Cointreau Rickey and have a variety of fresh fruits and herbs available—it's a great interactive element for parties and encourages socializing.

When it comes to seating arrangements, mix it up. For dinner parties, we like to help foster conversations by seating each person by someone they know and someone they don't. This way everyone feels comfortable and has the opportunity to connect with interesting people they don't know.

    dannijo designed dinner table

A long dining table, staged with fresh florals and amethyst crystals (read: the sister's personalities!), was set up for guests to pull up a chair and dine on delicious, summer bites. Plus, they were offered lavender lemonades, served in simple glass goblets. We loved the relaxed nature of this communal table.
