This simple and modern gradient heart print adds a stylish and sophisticated look to your Valentine's Day decor! Make this print to swap into a frame you already have up on the wall or place in a new one to put on a shelf or use in a vignette. A simple yet fun way to decorate for this sweet holiday.
What You'll Need:
- 2 colors of craft paint (light and dark pink)
- 8″ x 10″ frame
- White construction paper
- Colorful scrap paper
- Paint brush
- Straight edge with measure
Step 1: Cut your white construction paper down to 8″ x 10″.
Step 2: Using your colorful scrap paper, cut two 4″ x 4″ squares.
Step 3: Fold the scrap paper squares in half and cut a half heart shape. Unfold to open up a heart. Make sure that both hearts are the same size.
Step 4: Use a ruler and map out 4 equal quadrants of the paper. Configure hearts in each quadrant and trace around them very lightly with a pencil.
Step 5: Pour each of your pink paints onto opposite sides of the pallet. Paint the lightest heart in first.
Step 6: Slowly mix in the darker pink paint into the light pink (a 2:1 light to dark ratio). Fill in the next heart with the second lightest color.
Step 7: Next mix light pink into the dark pink in a 1:2 ratio light to dark. Fill in the third heart.
Step 8: Lastly fill in the last heart with the darkest pink. Let dry and place in your frame to display!
