DIY Modern Triangle Shelves for Your Room Decor
Whether they are used for storage or just for decor, these triangle shelves will certainly add a modern vibe to your space. Pick out a wood that matches your space and customize your sizes in proportion to your available wall space to create the perfect facade!
What You'll Need:
- Wood planks 2″ deep and approximately 1/2 to 1″ thick
- Compass or triangle measuring tool
- Wood glue
Step 1: Measure and mark out a 60 degree angle on each side of your wood piece (60 degree angles both in opposite directions to create a trapezoid).
Step 2: Once you are done cutting your piece, sand the edges and mark out 2 more pieces the same size.
Step 3: Your end results from your cuts will be 3 equal pieces. Arrange them into a triangle pattern.
Step 4: Place wood glue at each of the pieces where the triangle attaches.
Step 5: Place tape around triangle to keep it in place while the glue is drying. Wipe off any excess glue with a wet rag.
Sand off any glue stains if needed. Place a small nail into the wall to hang the upright triangle shelf. To hang the upside down triangle, place to nails in the corners and use a level to make sure the shelf is straight. Decorate with air plants, succulents, and other fun accessories!
