DIY Pinboard Travel Map for Your Anniversary
The traditional First Anniversary gift is paper, so what better way to celebrate the first year of marriage (and many more adventurous years ahead!) than with a pin board travel map? Document the places you and your sweetheart have traveled over the past year (hey you should get at least one for the honeymoon, right?!) and will travel over the years to come!
What You'll Need:
- 8" x 10" frame
- 8" x 10" world map (a downloadable digital print works great!)
- cork board
- X-acto knife
- straight pins
Step 1: Disassemble the frame and place the back board on your cork board. Draw around it with a pencil.
Step 2: Use an X-acto knife and straight edge to cut out the rectangle that you marked.
Step 3: Lay the frame (with the glass set aside) face down and place your map inside the frame. Lay the cork down behind the paper.
Step 4: Finish off the framing by placing the back board back into the frame.
Step 5: Lastly, get out your pins and pin all those places you and your other half have traveled (or wait and do it together on your big Anniversary day!).
