DIY This Marble Serving Board for Your Next Party
Make a stylish cheese or serving board for just a few dollars with this super easy DIY. A few hacks to a simple marble tile from the hardware store and you will be done with more than enough time to cook up a 4 course meal! Perfect for your upcoming fall and winter get togethers!
What You'll Need:
- 12" square marble tile
- Fine grit sandpaper
- Super glue or epoxy
- 4 felt or foam feet
- Painter's tape
- Paint brush
- Gold gilding or paint
Step 1: Start by sanding down the edges of your marble tile with fine grit sandpaper. Sand the edges smooth and slightly round all the corners or anything sharp. Wipe down with a dry cloth to remove the excess dust after sanding.
Step 2: Place the foam or felt feet in the 4 corners of the bottom of the tile. Use super glue or epoxy to secure in place.
Step 3: Once the feet have dried, tape off the edges of the marble (on the top, exposing the sides).
Step 4: Use a thin paintbrush and gold paint or gilding to finish off the edges with a sleek accent.
Serve cheese or appetizers on your tile and wipe clean with a soapy sponge, water, and dry cloth once finished!
