What You'll Need:
- Thin brass pipe (available at craft stores)
- Wire cutters
- Pipe cutter
- Hanging light kit
Step 1: Layout and design your light. Here we made a pentagon shape. For this design you will need one very short piece, 2 smaller pieces, a medium sized piece, and a large piece. Mark out your cuts on your pipe.
Step 2: Use the pipe cutter to cut your pieces. You will need 5 of each.
Step 3: Finish cutting your pieces and set each pile of sizes to the side.
Step 4: On a large flat surface, layout your pattern. You will need a small pentagon to start at the bottom with a larger pentagon in the mid section and the smallest pentagon at the top.
Step 5: Use wire to put together the bottom pentagon. Thread one piece through all 5 piece and twist to connect the pentagon back together. Cut off the ends of the wire.
Step 6: Repeat step 5 with the larger and smaller pentagons that will make up your tiers.
Step 7: Cut another piece of long wire. Wrap it around one of the corners of the bottom pentagon. Twist the pieces together and thread on one of the smaller mid section pieces.
Step 8: Thread the wire around the middle pentagon.
Step 9: Thread on the longest piece and thread the wire around the smallest pentagon that will be at the top.
Step 10: Cut the end of the wire after wrapping around the corner of the top pentagon and thread the small end of the wire through one of the top pentagon edges. Repeat steps 7-10 for the rest of the 4 points of the pentagon.
Step 11: Once your pendant is put together, thread the pendant light kit up through the top and hang on a hook in the ceiling. Adjust the height for your space!
