9 Celeb Match-Ups We Wish Were Real

Top matchmakers across the country reveal who some of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes should really be dating (you’ll never guess who they picked for Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper!).
  1. Rihanna & Michael Ealy

“Because wouldn't they have beautiful babies together?” quips Maria Avgitidis, co-founder and CEO at Agape Match. “But seriously, Rihanna needs someone who is calm, supportive and not a singer!” In other words, the opposite of Chris Brown. Another reason Ealy is a great match? The actor is famous in his own right, so he’s better equipped to deal with RiRi's super stardom. And since he works in another field, he's less likely to feel threatened by her success, adds Suzanne Oshima, matchmaker and dating coach at Dream Bachelor and Bachelorette.
  2. Jennifer Lawrence & Andy Samberg

When it comes to the young Oscar-winner’s love life, the verdict is unanimous—she belongs with a great guy. "Jennifer has a great sense of humor, as she proved when she won the Oscar, and she’s very mature for her age, so I would choose a guy who's confident and funny, like Andy Samberg,” says Oshima. Although the SNL funnyman may seem like a surprising match for Lawrence, who is known for playing darker roles, it's Samberg's comedic chops and ability to laugh at himself that makes him her ideal match. And a man who can rock a curly mullet with pride and hold his own with Justin Timberlake, won’t be intimidated by the fact that she won an Oscar.

  3. Katie Holmes & Jake Gyllenhaal

After the breakup of her high-profile marriage to Tom Cruise, a down-to-earth dude is just what the dating doctors ordered for Katie Holmes. "Jake Gyllenhaal is the least crazy and most likable guy in Hollywood, which is exactly what Holmes needs," Avgitidis says. Not to mention, high heel-wearing Suri could use a T-shirt and jeans kind of man in her life.

  4. Jessica Chastain & Aaron Eckhart

Although Chastain has said in the past that she doesn't date actors, that doesn't mean she wouldn't. Eckhart, who, like Chastain, seems more into his craft than fame and has proven his talent in indies like Thank You for Smoking and blockbusters like Batman, could be the exception to the red-headed starlet's rule. “Jessica is an actress of great depths and attended Juilliard, so I think Eckhart would make a strong match for her," says Amy Andersen, CEO and founder of Linx Dating. With an old soul like Chastain, the age gap works in Eckhart's favor, too (she’s 37 and he’s 46).
  5. Johnny Depp & Olga Kurylenko

"Judging from his past paramours—Vanessa Paradis, Kate Moss, Winona Ryder—Johnny Depp seems to go for women who possess a gamine-like quality about them: very feminine, mysterious and effortlessly sexy," says celebrity matchmaker Amber Kelleher-Andrews, CEO and cofounder of Kelleher International matchmaking firm. While Amber Heard (his rumored gal pal) may have the sexy thing going for her, she doesn't seem to have the same air of mystery that make women like Moss and Paradis so captivating.  French actress Olga Kurylenko, on the other hand, does!

  6. Taylor Swift and Robert Pattinson

Who will finally give Taylor Swift a reason to write a love song? According to Beth Mandell, a matchmaker at VIPlife, Robert Pattinson is her man. "Taylor is a hopeless romantic -- she falls in love quickly and wears her heart on her sleeve," Mandell says. "Rob is boyfriend material.  He has a proven track record of loyalty." Even after getting his heart trampled on by his on- and- off-screen love Kristen Stewart, Pattinson stayed classy and even gave Kstew another shot.

  7. Ryan Seacrest & January Jones

Although Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest’s breakup seemed to catch even the love pros by surprise, Andersen thinks Hollywood’s hardest working man needs someone a little older (Hough is 26 and Seacrest is 39). "I would match him with January Jones, who’s 35, blond (which he seems to go for) and seems very classy." Come to think of it, Jones and Hough kind of look like they could be related...

  8. Bradley Cooper & Michelle Williams

They may seem like an unlikely match—but they’d work, insists Samantha Daniels, celebrity matchmaker and president of Samantha’s Table Matchmaking. “They are both Oscar nominated, both take their work seriously and wouldn't Brad make a good dad?” she explains. “They both have this ‘low-key A-listers who stay under the radar’ way about them, too.” Of course, a similar approach to work and fame isn’t enough to bring the sparks, but Daniels isn’t worried about the physical compatibility. He has been attracted to those alabaster skin blondes before--remember Renee Zellweger and Cameron Diaz?
  9. Leonardo DiCaprio & Charlize Theron

She may not be known for walking the catwalk, but Charlize Theron certainly fits the model mold that characterize Leonardo DiCaprio’s leggy ladies, past and present: impossibly gorgeous, thin and tall. Yet she’s more than just a pretty face—she has an acting career that rivals his in success, notes Daniels. Then there’s that whole age factor. Though the baby-face star looks young enough to be dating 20-something models, as he approaches 40, Leo may find it increasingly harder to relate to women half his age. “She’s much more age appropriate for him...than the 20-year-olds he’s been running around with recently,” she adds.
