Harry Potter’s Childhood Home Is For Sale
It's been a good month for Harry Potter fans. First, PBteen released a Harry Potter home decor line, and then the real-life Hogwarts set goes on sale. Now even bigger news has broken: Harry Potter's childhood home is on the market in Lavenham, Suffolk.
The De Vere house, as it's actually known, is the real-life version of the set in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One—known as Harry's childhood home in Godric Hollow. The property is on sale for over $1 million and Harry Potter aside, it has a pretty impressive history. The original De Vere family helped build the medieval homes that Lavenham is famous for.
Although the house might not be the most ideal place for residents (it's the most photographed house in the United Kingdom second only to the Prime Minister's home), we could totally see it as an Airbnb listing. If you want to dream about living here one day, check out the listing for the gorgeous six bedroom, four bathroom home.
