Pack Your Bags, Harry Potter Fans—You Can Now Live at Hogwarts
Who hasn't dreamed about being able to live at Hogwarts? Now, your dreams can be reality—sort of. The real-life location used for Hogwarts scenes in the Harry Potter films is being turned into luxury townhomes and apartments. Royal Connaught Park in Bushey, England—a mere 15-minute ride from London (not counting missing the train at Platform 9¾)—might be the closest thing we Muggles can get to living in the Harry Potter universe.
The project, which is nearly complete, divides the 100-acre land into 380 units and comes with a hefty price tag. Each unit costs between around $987,000 to $4.2 million U.S. dollars. The grounds and exterior buildings might look familiar to fans, but the most iconic part of the Victorian Gothic estate is the dining hall—the actual 1,400-square-foot hall was used as the Great Hall in the first three films.
