With the election right around the corner, people nationwide are voicing their opinions on who they think should run the country. Aside from the saint that is Oprah, we thought we'd round up fifteen of our celebrity presidential picks. Here's why these hopefuls would make legendary leaders offscreen:

  1. Ellen DeGeneres

There's no political issue an impromptu dance party can't solve. Plus, this talk show host looks great in a pantsuit.
  2. Glenn Close

Thanks to her recent performance in Albert Nobbs, Glenn proves she can rock a tie and fit right in with the men.
  3. Amy Poehler

Is it just us, or does President Poehler have a nice ring to it? Thanks to this Parks & Rec episode, it only makes sense if her campaign song was 'Get on Your Feet'.
  4. Steve Martin

This funny guy writes, acts and possesses an unusually high IQ. After all, the American people want reform and a good laugh.
  5. Anderson Cooper

He's not afraid to ask the tough questions, but how would he fare answering them? That smile alone could win over a few voters.
  6. Stephen Colbert

Colbert was named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People...twice. He's already teased us with the possibility of running, so we can only keep our fingers crossed.
  7. Michael Keaton

Keaton has experience playing both a president and a superhero. Surely, seeing the bat signal over the White House would shake things up.
  8. Tina Fey

Actress, comedian, writer, producer, president. Is there anything Ms. Fey can't do?
  9. Morgan Freeman

This actor has already played God, so why not? Presidential speeches would be anything but boring with that voice.
  10. Bill Pullman

Remember that Independence Day speech? Anyone who can successfully handle an alien attack gets our vote.
  11. Harrison Ford

We doubt anyone would double cross a man who also goes by Han Solo and Indiana Jones...
  12. Sigourney Weaver

On her television hit, Political Animals, Weaver plays the former First Lady and Secretary of State. We think she should take her studies from the small screen to reality.
  13. Mark Harmon

His acting chops prove he's laying down the groundwork for a political career offscreen.
  14. Tom Hanks

    Run, Tom, Run!
  15. Meryl Streep

Streep donated her salary from The Iron Lady to the National Women's History Museum. Does that scream role model or what?
